There are may be times when you wish you could take some immediate action to improve your online business. Perhaps you've been building some search engine strategies into your Web site and you're just waiting for the search engine spiders to come by and index the latest changes to your Web site. But in the meantime, what can you do to have an immediate impact on your Web site, besides Pay Per Click Advertising?

Even if you are the most visible Web site for a specific audience, did you know there are still new target audiences you can attract. Why not gather more of the market share?

Start researching your various audiences real-time search behaviors using a tool like Wordtracker.com to discover who else out there might benefit from your products or services. Too many times, business owners only think of their target audience as singular when in fact, there are often several audiences that could benefit from your Web site if only they could find it. Are you having challenges discovering what those new audiences might be? The challenge could be that you are thinking to narrowly in terms of keyword research and you need to widen the scope of your understanding to include a focus on researching consumer search behavior. With a little practice, it's amazing just how much of the hard work that Wordtracker will perform for you.

Could you use some step by step tips on behavior research? It's free!

Could you use some examples of niche phrases that are in high usage by searchers, but also have low compete counts?

Are you making the most of your Title Tags? Why not fine tune some of those pages that could be performing better.

We all know there are at least 100 influences in perform quality SEO work which include things like on page factors, off page factors and even artificial intelligence. Now even if you don't have time to upgrade your SEO skills by taking an online course or by attending a comprehensive hands-on workshop, the suggestion with Titles that I have for you here is not just about rankings and visibility, but we're talking about improving the click through ratio for pages that may only be scoring within the top 10 to 20 results.

That's right, take a good look at your Title tags and see if you can't improve them in the following ways:

Try this tip on some of your pages which you need improvement on:
Use your keyword phrase up front, followed by a clicking trigger, followed by a genuine benefit that you offer.

What do I mean by a "keyword?". When I talk about your primary keyword phrase, I'm assuming you know how to research and target the right phrase which is essential. However, If you are not sure how, then read this article here. If you are brand new to optimization, you may want to study one of our online SEO courses to build your skills.

What do I mean by a "Trigger?" A trigger is simply an action related "reason" why someone chooses to respond.
For example there are certain triggers or reasons why people will buy.  Subjects related to health, safety, education or learning, making money, saving money, improving appearance, losing weight, gaining status a whole list of them. If you are familiar with writing sales copy, you'll be aware of this.

What do I mean by a "Benefit?" This is the old "what is in it for me" factor that's essential to all salesletters.

Moving these elements up into the search engine results:

In short these are all good elements for writing a sales letter. The difference here is that I am suggesting you move these elements right up into your Title tag where you will have these elements visible in the search results. The result should be a Title that reads well and compels the reader to click on your link over other links regardless of where you rank in the top 10. If you are not sure about how to actually rank well, we can teach you in our private hands-on SEO workshop.

So in fact you are taking time to think about the objective of each of your pages and working with Titles are very easy.
Using your keyword phrase up front, followed by a clicking trigger, followed by a genuine benefit that you offer.

Example: Maybe you are selling an e-book. The trigger would be "learning" (people will pay to learn something).
The e-book might be on how to breed rare tropical fish. Maybe the book is a fairly quick read but details important information that you can absorb in a couple of days. (This could be the benefit - learning time).

So your title may read like this:
Breed tropical fish - Learn how to breed rare tropical fish for fun and profit in just 48 hours.

Other examples of keyword plus trigger plus benefit.

Piano lessons - Learn how to memorize beautiful chords over this weekend.

Diamond jewelry - Discover how to grade color cut and clarity like a gemologist.

Okay let's play with a few other triggers ideas based on earning money:

Start a home based business - Ideal earning potential while you set your own hours

Internet based business - Start earning immediately as you work from home

Or triggers ideas based on streamlining a process:

Keyword research - save hours of time and find top results in only minutes

Pool heaters - eliminate energy waste and save $100 per month heating your pool

Of course what this really boils down to is simply writing with an awareness of these components so as to focus on writing better quality content (within your title). Be aware of why people respond to what they are reading along with a benefit of the product and of course you know that you are focusing on a researched keyword or phrase.

If you need some help building your SEO skills, consider one of our value added SEO training courses.

Or you might want to attend our hands-on SEO Workshop where we offer personalized SEO instruction in a 2-Day, 3-Day or a 5-Day live SEO workshop.

By simply writing more compelling titles, combined with high quality content that is of genuine value to your visitors, you'll enjoy significant value in the increased click through ratios. Of all of the other choices a potential visitor may have to choose from, make yours just a little more unique, a little more compelling than the next guy who just throws their Title tag together with little thought.
